Free weights and accessories

• Wipe down after use with a damp cloth and mild soap; dry thoroughly.
• Store off the floor on a rack where possible.
• Don't drop dumbbells onto unprotected hard floors.

Benches and upholstery

• Clean upholstery with a non-abrasive cleaner; avoid solvents.
• Check pins, adjusters and bolts regularly.

Cable and selectorised machines

• Inspect cables, pulleys and attachments before each session; stop using a frayed cable immediately.
• Keep guide rods clean and lubricate as the manual specifies.

Cardio machines

• Keep away from moisture and direct sun; use a surge-protected outlet where electrical.
• Follow the manual for belt tension and lubrication.

Flooring

• Sweep and mop with a pH-neutral cleaner; avoid oil-based products.
